Bound by the people, not a political party

Keith O. Williams is a longtime community advocate who has worked alongside residents, small business owners, faith leaders, and civic groups to address public safety, economic stability, and community trust. His work is grounded in listening, showing up, and holding systems accountable to the people they serve.

The time for talking is over. It’s time to ACT.

Keith Oscar Williams – during a 2017 campaign speech on Facebook. Williams ran for Birmingham (AL) City Council for the first time. He believes the ACT framework is the foundation for good government that is rooted in the people. This is the proper context of politics. Politics comes from the Greek word “politikia,” meaning taking care of the affairs of the people. If what you are not doing is addressing the needs of the people, it’s not politics.
